Aloha, E Komo MaiWelcome to Hawaiian Island Images. Featured here is the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands as seen through the eyes of the island photographer, Warren Ishii.
Photography has always been an important part of the Ishii household with Warren's Dad working for the Eastman Kodak Company for over 40 years. Warren got his first camera, a Kodak Instamatic, at an early age, and later in his teens saved enough to purchase his first SLR, a Pentax Spotmatic along with a Vivitar 400mm lens. The Pentax/Vivitar combo was used primarily to take photos of his other passion, surfing.
Warren also loved working in the darkroom that expanded his ability to better understand photography. He was mesmerized seeing his photos appear before his eyes in the developer.
Today Warren shoots exclusively in the digital format and uses Canon equipment. His love for photo editing is still alive, the darkroom now being his computer. Please kickback and relax while viewing the slide shows with soundtracks at HawaiianIslandImages.com.
